  • Depending on sensitivity, keep tray on for a few hours or overnight
  • Can reuse trays for at-home touch-ups
Whitening Toothpaste
  • Contain chemical or polishing agents to remove surface stains from teeth
  • The Canadian Dental Association approves many products based on that they help with caries control as well as with prevention and reduction of gingivitis

Porcelain Veneers

  • Also called porcelain laminates or “caps “
  • Dentist constructs thin, custom-made shells of tooth-coloured material that are bonded permanently to your teeth

  • Last about 15 years and can correct sunken cheeks or make lips appear fuller

Bonding

  • Used to close gaps and repair chipped teeth
  • Cosmetic dentist trims or builds up teeth with composite resin that resembles tooth enamel
  • Can last five years or more before repairs are needed
  • Bonded teeth are susceptible to staining and can’t be whitened
